Terrorist Attack in Haifa Results in Fatalities

An Israeli Druze resident of Shfaram, who returned to Israel last week after spending time abroad, carried out a terrorist attack at the central bus station in Haifa, in northern Israel. The individual was identified as Yitro Shaheen, 20 years old, who according to acquaintances was facing adaptation difficulties and social problems.

The violent act resulted in the death of a 65-year-old man and left four others injured. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his condolences to the victim's family and assured that the country would stand firm against such terrorist acts. The police, led by Commissioner Danny Levy, categorized the incident as a terrorist attack and confirmed that the assailant, an Israeli citizen, was shot dead at the scene.

Emergency teams, including paramedics from Magen David Adom, attended to the victims on site. Three people, a man and a woman around 30 years old and a 15-year-old boy, were classified as in serious condition, while a 70-year-old woman sustained less severe injuries. The situation was quickly brought under control by the authorities.
