Israeli Defense Minister, Israel Katz, stated on Friday that he intends to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons, following President Donald Trump's statement that the destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities is not a priority for him.
An Israeli representative and two informed sources confirmed that Israel does not rule out the possibility of attacking Iran's nuclear facilities in the coming months, despite Trump communicating to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that the U.S. is currently not ready to support such actions.
A second round of preliminary nuclear negotiations between the U.S. and Iran is also scheduled to be held in Rome today, on Saturday.
