Artists Unite in Tribute to Israel Attack Victims

More than 25 artists joined together in an emotional version of "When the Heart Cries," a song dedicated to the victims of the attack on October 7, 2023, in Israel, aimed at honoring them and sending a message of unity and rejection of terrorism. The initiative was driven by Juntos por Israel, an organization created by Argentine journalist Hernán Feler, after the abduction of his aunt, Ofelia Roitman, during the attack carried out by the terrorist group Hamas.

The song, originally performed by Rabbi Moshe Ben, was reinterpreted with the participation of renowned musicians such as Lito Vitale, Marcela Morelo, David Lebón, Patricia Sosa, Stefi Roitman, and Rodrigo Tapari, among others. The lyrics of the song express: "When the heart cries, only God listens," conveying a message of pain, hope, and strength amidst deep suffering.

Following the Hamas attack, which left over 1,200 people dead and 251 abducted, many of whom were taken hostage to the Gaza Strip, the song has become a symbol of resistance and memory, uniting those who oppose violence and terrorism. Various support initiatives emerged in response to the tragedy, including Juntos por Israel, which provides psychological and emotional support to survivors and their families.

The production of the new version of the song was handled by Lucas Biren, with the intention of turning pain into an act of solidarity on a global scale.
