The Israeli ambulance service, Magen David Adom, announced new measures on Thursday to improve emergency response times and efficiency across the country.

The Israeli ambulance service, the National Organization for Urgent Medical Assistance, announced on Thursday that the number of patients with COVID-19 in serious condition in the country is increasing.

"Today, there are 653 patients with COVID-19 in serious condition in our hospitals, of which 158 are on artificial ventilation devices," the service stated in a statement.

The ambulance service also noted that 1,282 hospitalization services for patients with COVID-19 were provided in the last two days.
