The international health organization expressed serious concern over the Israeli attacks on medical institutions and healthcare professionals. Such actions create obstacles for providing urgent assistance to the population. This violates the right to health and undermines the safety of medical personnel, which is unacceptable.
Similar attacks not only endanger the lives and health of individuals but also hinder the activities of medical institutions in conflict conditions, where every second may be decisive. The organization urged all sides of the conflict to adhere to international humanitarian law and ensure the safety of medical missions.
In this regard, actions that could hinder access to medical assistance and protect medical personnel in conflict zones are being critically discussed. It is emphasized that attacks on medical facilities and personnel are prohibited by international humanitarian law and further undermine the provision of life-saving assistance to those in need.
