The Israel Defense Forces announced on Tuesday the delivery of humanitarian aid packages to isolated areas of the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
Humanitarian aid was sent to residents of the northern Gaza sector, which, according to the Israeli army, represents a priority group of the population. The packages contain food products, including flour, sugar, oil, milk, and other essential goods.
The official statement from the army talks about the continued effort of Israel to ensure humanitarian assistance to residents of the Gaza sector, despite past conflicts between Palestinians and Israelis.
"We need to continue to help the population of the Gaza sector and alleviate the suffering of civilians, especially during such times when the COVID-19 pandemic has a serious impact on people's lives," emphasized one of the army officers.
