A second group of women has been rescued from their captivity in Gaza, after a first round of releases last Sunday. The first three hostages freed to reunite with their families in Israel after spending 471 days kidnapped were Romi Gonen, Doron Steinbrecher, and Emily Damari.
As part of a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu's government has released 90 Palestinian prisoners. Taher al-Nunu, spokesperson for Hamas, announced on Tuesday the imminent release of four more hostages who are still in captivity in the Gaza Strip as part of the truce with Israel.
According to reports from the AFP agency, the next to be returned to Israel will be four Israeli women next Saturday, but details about who they will precisely be have not been provided.
Taher al-Nunu of Hamas did not reveal the names of the women to be released, but stated that this process is underway as part of the ceasefire agreements reached between the parties involved in the conflict.
