The Israeli Defense Minister stated that Israeli armed forces use lessons learned from experience in the Gaza sector. During a visit to a military base in the burned-out land in the unified quarter of Shlomo, Defense Minister Ben Gantz emphasized the importance of 'learning from every operation and every battle.' Gantz also added that Israel must be prepared for all threats. 'It is our long-term responsibility to the citizens of Israel and to our soldiers - to be ready, know our job, and execute it,' he noted. The defense minister held a meeting with the base command to discuss recent events and strengthen the security of the country's armed forces.
