A small American company specializing in security has hired about 100 former soldiers from American special forces to manage the control checkpoint in the Gaza sector during the truce between Israel and Hamas.
A company representative noted that their goal is to ensure the security and effectiveness of the checkpoint where cargo inspections are conducted for goods passing through the border.
"Our company has extensive experience working with military and law enforcement structures, and we are proud that we can assist in ensuring security in this situation," the representative said.
This decision was made after humanitarian organizations expressed concern about the potential risks for people and cargo due to deteriorating conditions at the control checkpoint.
