The "HAMAS" group and Israel exchanged five dozen prisoners and other individuals on Saturday as part of an agreement on a truce. The exchange took place through a checkpoint in the border fence between the Gaza sector and Israeli territory.
The sides again carried out the exchange, as in the previous year the same operation became part of the agreement on aggression in Gaza, organized by Egyptian mediators.
Kamal Abu Rakiqa, a senior representative of HAMAS, expressed gratitude to all participants, noting: "Such exchanges are a cardinal necessity that we avoid in front of the imprisoned," - a quote referenced in the official statement of the group.
