On Sunday, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, which became known after the sixth operation for the exchange of prisoners between Israel and Hamas within the framework of a ceasefire in the Gaza sector.
The purpose of the U.S. Secretary of State's visit to Israel is not disclosed, but in light of recent events and the tense situation in the region, it can be assumed that the situation around Gaza will be discussed during the meeting, as well as other issues related to security and stability in the Middle East.
Earlier, the Israeli Prime Minister announced the intention to continue holding Palestinian prisoners until the remains of all Israeli citizens and the bodies of deceased soldiers are returned. It is worth noting that both sides implemented an exchange of prisoners within the framework of the ceasefire conditions, however, not all issues were resolved definitively.
