On Sunday, the Israeli army representative announced that the outgoing chief of staff, Lieutenant General Herzl Halevi, is going on an official visit to the United States from February 17 to 20.
Details of the visit have not yet been disclosed, however, it is expected that issues of security and military cooperation between Israel and the USA will be discussed during the trip. It should be noted that Halevi has been serving as the chief of the General Staff since October 2021.
Lieutenant General Halevi emphasized the importance of American-Israeli relations and expressed confidence in the continuation of successful interaction at all levels.
