The solution to the ongoing situation in the Gaza sector requires the attention of the international community. The problem, which Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu speaks about, becomes increasingly pressing. During a meeting of the Council of Ministers, he stated that Gazans should be given the choice to pick a sector if they want.
This sharp position is provoked first and foremost by the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza. Constant power outages, water shortages, and the collapse of the medical system make life for the inhabitants of the sector unbearable. Netanyahu noted that if the residents of Gaza want to leave it, they should be provided with such an opportunity. However, such a step is possible only in the presence of guarantees of safety for Israel.
"We do not want life there to become complicated," Netanyahu emphasized. "No work on the security of Israel remains in the first place." These words became evidence in the long chain of conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, which requires a complex and long-term solution.
