On Tuesday, Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi stated that Israel will begin negotiations on the second phase of the agreement on mutual relations signed with the Arab Emirates.
"We hope that we will be able to agree and start negotiations already in the coming weeks or months," Ashkenazi emphasized.
This announcement was made against the backdrop of the ongoing discussions regarding a possible agreement between the USA and Iran related to the nuclear program of Tehran.
A high-ranking source in the Israeli government also stated that the country will start negotiations on the signing of the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) with the Organization of Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).
