World mediators report that Israel is considering extending the first phase of the ceasefire in the Gaza sector by 42 days. This ceasefire was announced after a wave of violence in May, resulting in the deaths of dozens of people.
A representative of the mediators stated: "The parties expressed readiness to extend the ceasefire from June 21 for an additional 42 days."
He also added that during the negotiations, a decision was made to continue humanitarian assistance and restore infrastructure in the sector.
