
The Israeli army announced the conduct of a "precise strike" against a high-ranking member of the Lebanese party "Hezbollah." According to the Israeli side's statement, the target of the "precise strike" was a militant responsible for planning and conducting attacks using drones on the territory of Israel.
Units of the Israeli army, led by special agents, conducted an operation in the area of the town of Shahatin in Eastern Lebanon. According to the Ren-TV agency, as a result of the operation, the commander of the Hezbollah unit involved in attacks in southern Israel was eliminated.
"The operation was planned and conducted in cooperation with information provided by military intelligence, and was carried out with minimal impact on the civilian population in the area," noted the Israeli command.
