Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Galant confirmed on Thursday that Israeli military forces will remain in an unspecified area in the demarcation zone on the border with Lebanon, and their deployment there is "related to the situation."
"There is a demarcation area (on the border with Lebanon), it was not easy, but I maintained my position, we received a green light from the Americans, we provided them with a map, and we will remain in an unspecified area, this depends on the situation, not on timing," Galant said at a conference of Israeli regional council leaders.
Despite the achievement of the agreement to cease fire between Hezbollah and Israel on November 27 under the auspices of the U.S. after more than a year of hostilities, Israel continues to carry out strikes in various areas in Lebanon.
