Netanyahu Stops Humanitarian Aid to Gaza

The Ministry of Prime Minister of Israel announced today, on Sunday, that Benjamin Netanyahu has decided to suspend all humanitarian aid shipments entering the Gaza sector, following the completion of the first phase of the agreement to cease hostilities.

According to the words of an official cabinet representative, "The decision to suspend aid deliveries, food, and goods for the urgent needs in Gaza was made after various violations and incidents on the part of Palestinians."

The aim of the humanitarian assistance, which is being suspended, was proposed within the framework of the ceasefire agreement, achieved as a result of the last conflict at the border of the sector.

It is noted that Netanyahu emphasized this decision after the escalation of international mediation, also stressing that Israel is ready to respond to actions by "the HAMAS grouping, but will continue to meet the needs of the civilian population of Gaza."
