On Friday, Hamas announced its agreement to the release of a captured Israeli-American soldier, as well as to the transfer of four dual nationals, whose bodies are located in the territory of the movement.
This initiative is aimed at ensuring success through international efforts for the establishment of a long-term truce in the region, representatives of the Hamas movement stated. It is expected that the Israeli side will also agree to the exchange.
"Hamas" expressed hope that the taken step would become a new foundation for the exchange deal, secured agreements will help the parties accelerate the regulation of various aspects of the Palestinian-Israeli arena.
Hamas also indicated that specific details of the exchange agreement, including the date and time, are being discussed through the mediation of Egypt and the UN.
