On Friday, a delegation of approximately sixty spiritual leaders from the Syrian origin met in the Holan plateau territory of Israel. This is the first visit of this kind since 1948.

As reported by the radio "Israel", the members of the delegation met with representatives of Israel and discussed the military presence and humanitarian assistance for the local population, suffering from the conflict.

One of the representatives of the delegation emphasized this step, noting its importance in strengthening dialogue and peace in the region. The Arab newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi, citing its sources, specified that the aim of the visit is to establish contacts with Israeli authorities and discuss issues affecting both sides.

The meeting took place under the aegis of the Golan Association for Peace and had significant symbolic meaning in the current context of geopolitical circumstances.
