Makanins from the Israeli Prime Minister's office stated on Sunday that Israeli negotiators are in Egypt.
They are conducting negotiations aimed at reaching an agreement on a cessation of hostilities between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza sector.
The sides are striving to achieve a lasting cessation of armed hostilities after a week of escalating violence.
"We are applying all efforts to achieve the conclusion of this whole initiative," said a representative of the government.
