The Kremlin expressed its concern about the increasing number of civilian casualties following airstrikes in the Gaza sector by Israel on Tuesday. In its statement, the official representative of the Kremlin's press service expressed hope for a prompt return to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.

"We note that the situation in the region has sharply raised the Russian side's attention. Our serious concerns are triggered by information about a large number of civilian casualties as a result of airstrikes in Gaza. We call on all sides to exercise restraint and hope for the revival of the negotiating process with the aim of achieving a sustainable cessation of hostilities and a return to a peaceful settlement of the conflict," the Kremlin representative stated.

In addition, it is noted that Russia is ready to actively support all efforts aimed at normalizing the situation and restoring dialogue between conflicting sides.
