Missile Strike Near Ben Gurion Airport

According to Israeli sources, a missile presumed to be launched from Yemen by Houthi rebels hit the perimeter area of Ben Gurion Airport, located in the center of the country. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed the impact and reported that the air defense deployment of the Israel Air Force is investigating the incident.

A surveillance camera video captured the moment of the impact, and after the attack, the airport was temporarily closed, suspending incoming and outgoing flights, as well as rail traffic. However, shortly after, authorities announced the resumption of operations, warning citizens to avoid the area due to potential risks.

Although Israeli sources attributed the missile launch to the Houthis in Yemen, the group has not claimed responsibility for the attack so far. Local media reported one injury as a result of the impact, and the Israel Defense Forces indicated that they were unable to intercept the ballistic missile that hit near the airport.

The Israeli Army stated that it had made several attempts to intercept the projectile launched from Yemen.
