Israeli authorities continue to escalate the policy of administrative detention, where 3,688 detainees are held without specific charges or a fair trial, in a blatant violation of international laws and treaties.
"Thousands of Palestinians continue to be held in Israeli prisons under administrative detention, which allows for the arrest of individuals without trial or charges for up to six months, with the possibility of renewal," human rights organizations report.
This practice is condemned by the international community as a violation of fundamental human rights.
