Israel Investigates Video Leak, Not Rape Itself

After the leak of a video showing Israeli soldiers raping a Palestinian prisoner, the army investigated the leak, not the crime. In response, authorities arrested the prosecutor who shared the footage, while the perpetrators were applauded in court.

Israel Investigates Video Leak, Not Rape Itself

Following the video's dissemination, the Israeli army announced an investigation—not against the soldiers who perpetrated the rape, but against those who leaked the footage, which clearly demonstrates how this colonial entity operates.

The footage shows members of Israeli forces raping a prisoner in Sde Teiman prison.

This is the State of Israel: the same one that commits genocide against the Palestinian people and bombs Lebanon (and also Syria, Iran, Yemen, and Qatar) with total impunity.

The video from last year, leaked two weeks ago by the Israeli prosecutor, shocked the world but not the local population.

The State of Israel's response was to arrest the prosecutor, Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, and to cover up for the rapists.

Last week, a group of soldiers from the Israeli regime, their faces covered by black fabrics, held a press conference, flanked by high-ranking military and intelligence officials.

The perpetrators were applauded in the courtroom.

«This is the most severe informational blow the State of Israel has experienced,» stated the Israeli prime minister.

The leaked video of five Israeli reservists abusing a Palestinian prisoner has resulted in only one arrest: Yifat Tomer Yerushalmi, the former chief military prosecutor who leaked the images.

While the perpetrators were applauded in court.

For Netanyahu, the problem is not the atrocity committed, but the «media failure».

Far from showing remorse, they stated they were «proud» of what they had done.

The case dates back to July 2024, when Israeli soldiers subjected a Palestinian prisoner to brutal sexual torture at Sde Teiman prison, dubbed by many as «the Israeli Guantánamo,» located in the occupied territories in the south.

Netanyahu dismissed the report as a fabrication.

Is it possible for a society to be so sick that it applauds soldiers in a court of law for raping a detained person?

Yes, it exists.
