Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Civil Defense, Mahmoud Basal, told France-Presse that «five bodies were recovered after the Israeli shelling of a shelter set up in the Gaza Martyrs School» in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City (north). This comes after a ceasefire agreement brokered by the United States between Israel and Hamas in Gaza, under which Israeli forces withdrew.
