Israel announced it will suspend the operations of numerous humanitarian organizations working in Gaza, including 'Doctors Without Borders', for failing to meet its new rules for verifying international organizations in the sector. Israel's Ministry of Diaspora Affairs stated that the organizations whose operations will be banned starting January 1st have not met the new requirements regarding the provision of information on staff, funding, and operations. The ministry accused 'Doctors Without Borders' of not clarifying the roles of some of its employees, whom Israel accuses of cooperating with Hamas and other armed groups.
