Beirut, March 9 — Israel launched a new wave of airstrikes on the Dahieh area, located in the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital of Beirut, on Monday. According to a Xinhua report accessed by the Argentine News Agency, the military stated in a communiqué that its targets are the infrastructure of Hezbollah, and the attack came hours after issuing a warning to the public on Monday. "The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are now attacking Hezbollah's infrastructure in the Dahieh area in Beirut," the military reported in a statement that provided no further details. Meanwhile, it was learned that hours earlier, Israeli military spokesman Avichay Adraee had informed that the army was going to carry out the aforementioned bombing in Dahieh locations belonging to Al Qard Al Hasan, a financial entity linked to Hezbollah that offers interest-free loans and operates as a parallel banking system.
