On Monday, Israeli Army spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Nadav Shoshani stated in a press briefing that his country is carrying out ground operations in "new sites" in Lebanon, describing the attack as "limited and targeted." According to an army statement posted on the X platform, this operation "is part of efforts to bolster the forward defense zone and includes destroying terrorist infrastructure and eliminating terrorist elements operating in the area, with the aim of removing threats and creating an additional security layer for northern residents."
