An Israeli military official confirmed on Tuesday that Israel targeted senior Islamic Jihad movement leader Akram al-Ajouri in an overnight strike. In a press briefing, where the official requested anonymity, he stated that Ajouri, who is the general commander of the Al-Quds Brigades, the movement's armed wing particularly active in the Gaza Strip, «was in Iran where he usually resides», noting that «we have no information» about the results of the strike.
