The Israeli army announced on Sunday that it had begun launching «large-scale waves of strikes» in southern Lebanon. «The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continue to intensify their operational impact on the military systems and capabilities of the regime,» the military communiqué states. The army claims that among the facilities attacked is an Iranian military base used for training soldiers; a production and storage facility for weapons from the Ministry of Defense and at least one headquarters of the Iranian Ministry of Intelligence. So far on Sunday, Iran has launched at least seven waves of missile attacks, mainly affecting the Tel Aviv metropolitan area (central Israel), confirmed the army. Falling debris and cluster munitions have impacted roads, a residential building, and a car. According to Israel's Magen David Adom emergency service, these attacks have caused one moderate injury and 14 minor ones.
