Former President of the USA and candidate from the Republicans for the position of head of the White House, Donald Trump, stated in an interview that he practically communicates daily by phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Trump emphasized the importance of supporting and close relations between the USA and Israel. He also expressed confidence that these relations will remain strong under his proposed victory in the 2024 elections.
"I have very close relations with the Prime Minister of Israel. I call him practically every day. We support each other," Trump said.
It was noted that one of the main topics of conversation between Trump and Netanyahu was the Iranian nuclear deal. Trump expressed concern about the possibility of a potential agreement between the USA and Iran, not excluding the possibility of reinstating anti-Iranian measures after its return to power.
He also noted that his administration refrained from tough actions against Iranian aggression and emphasized that any future deal must ensure Israel's and the region's security.
