Israel Launches Response Attacks on Iran

In retaliation for missile strikes by Tehran, Israeli Defense Forces initiated attacks on Tehran and nearby Karaj, citing necessary defensive actions.

Israel Launches Response Attacks on Iran

The Israeli Defense Forces claimed responsibility for an attack that occurred minutes after Tehran launched an attack on October 1. At least five explosions were reported in both Tehran and Karaj, a nearby town. Israeli media indicated that one of the first explosions was heard near Imam Khomeini International Airport in the Iranian capital.

Israel responded to a ballistic missile attack carried out by Iran on October 1, which represented the second direct attack from Tehran against Israel in six months. After the initial attacks, the Israeli Defense Forces released a video confirming the action, stating that they will do whatever is necessary to protect the State and the people of Israel.

In addition to the attacks on Iranian territory, state media in Syria reported multiple explosions. Israel initiated its attack in Tehran and Karaj, while Iranian state television reported loud explosions around the capital. Despite this, there were no official comments on the origin of the explosions.

For their part, the Israeli Defense Forces confirmed that, in response to ongoing attacks from Iran, they were carrying out selective strikes against military targets in Iranian territory. Reports from Iranian media and health center workers mentioned a missile attack by Israel on Iran. This was also confirmed by the Israeli army radio.

"The State of Israel has the right and duty to respond like any other sovereign country," they mentioned. Syrian state television reported explosions in rural areas and in the central region of Damascus. Meanwhile, Israel's defensive and offensive capabilities are fully mobilized.
