On Sunday, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that it is necessary to adopt "painful concessions" to achieve a lasting peace with the Palestinians.
Speaking at a conference in Tel Aviv, Gallant expressed readiness for conversations with either side to end the conflict and ensure stability in the region. He emphasized the importance of making decisions that may be complicated and painful for both sides, but are essential for achieving peace.
"We are ready for peace, but we will not wait for it indefinitely," Gallant said.
These statements come in the wake of recent escalations in tensions between Palestinians and Israelis, which have led to the loss of many lives on both sides. The situation in the region remains tense, and many parties are striving for a final resolution to the conflict.
"To achieve peace, there is a need for will and readiness to make compromises," Gallant emphasized.
