Yesterday, the Israeli finance minister from the right-wing party Otzma Yehudit, Bezalel Smotrich, called to increase the level of economic pressure on the country and groups that do not recognize Israel. He made this statement during a budget campaign for the upcoming year.
According to Smotrich, economic pressure on countries refusing to recognize Israel is a very important factor. The deputy finance minister stated that this approach should be used not only within Israel but also in the context of international communities.
"We, as the government, must actively implement our economic plan to make it strong and resilient."
Commenting on the necessity of economic pressure on such countries, Smotrich said: "This is not only a matter of authoritarian regimes and their leaders and something like that. This applies to all areas."
