Israel announced in the media that it will follow the delivery of humanitarian aid in the Gaza sector, regardless of the new outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
Palestinian and international humanitarian missions have warned that the Gaza sector will be overwhelmed and blocked due to COVID-19.
The Israeli coordination administration in Palestine (COGAT) states that its priority is "to continue ensuring the delivery of humanitarian assistance in the context of support for efforts to combat the pandemic."
"We are obligated to support humanitarian deliveries in Gaza, in order to help the population in the fight against the coronavirus," stated Israeli officials.
