Israel has intensified its war against Lebanon, carrying out a number of aerial strikes on the outskirts of Beirut. The attacks came in response to a rocket barrage fired at Israel from the direction of Lebanon.
"Sidar Gardner" - one of the correspondents from the AFP agency reported: "Israeli warplanes carried out a number of airstrikes on the outskirts of Beirut."
The Lebanese army claims that it shot down a number of Israeli drones in response to violations of airspace.
Israel has been carrying out these strikes following a tense week on the border after a rocket attack on Israel from Lebanon last Tuesday.
