The leadership of Israel is making a change in the military command. The second-in-command became the day of communication about the decision of the army chief of staff of Israel, Herzi Halevi, to resign.
The reason for the resignation, as noted in Halevi's letter to Israel's Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant, is related to "the failures that occurred associated with the Hamas attack in southern Israel on October 7, 2023." In his communication, Halevi pointed out that "the Israeli Defense Forces did not handle the assigned task - the defense of Israeli citizens." This step follows shortly after the announcement of reaching an agreement to cease fire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza sector, and also on the beginning of the process of exchanging captives and hostages.
It is noteworthy that on November 5 of the current year, the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, announced the dismissal of the Minister of Defense Yoav Gallant.
