Israel Agrees to Return Displaced Palestinians to Gaza

On Saturday, Israel announced its agreement to the return of Palestinian refugees to their homes in the northern sector of Gaza after verification.

This position was confirmed after prolonged negotiations between the International Committee of the Red Cross and the military authorities of Israel. The committee will be responsible for the process of returning refugees, while the military authorities of Israel will ensure the safety of this action.

"The decision on the return of Palestinians to their homes in the Gaza sector represents a step towards peacefully regulating the conflict and building trust between the parties," stated a representative of the Israeli government.

Structures in the northern part of the Gaza sector were destroyed during military operations conducted by Israel in response to rocket attacks from Gaza on Israeli territory. The return directly concerns Palestinians whose homes were destroyed or severely damaged.

"We are happy that the parties managed to agree on an important step for the return of refugees to their homes. This is a great example of how diplomatic efforts can lead to constructive results in conflict zones," noted the representative of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
