Recent Israeli investigation revealed new reasons for the failure of the "Iron Dome" missile system in the face of Palestinian rocket strikes.
According to this investigation, conducted in the media, one of the main reasons turned out to be the size of the rocket attack, which was too large for the targeting systems of the "Iron Dome." In particular, the investigation revealed that the system was unable to cope with the large number of rockets that entered its detection area simultaneously.
"When the number of rockets exceeds the capacity of the system, it faces difficulties in intercepting them," it states in the report.
The investigation also noted that the low readiness levels of military personnel and inadequate training of the "Iron Dome" operators also affected the system's effectiveness.
Representatives of the Israeli army have already stated that additional measures will be taken to improve the operational efficiency of the "Iron Dome" and increase its effectiveness in the future.
However, at present, official confirmation of the information received has not been forthcoming.
