Israel Releases 2025 Military Operations Report

Tel Aviv, January 1 (TASS) — The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) presented their annual operational report for 2025 on Wednesday, reporting the execution of approximately 20,900 attacks on various Middle Eastern fronts. Military activity was primarily centered in the Gaza Strip, Iran, Syria, and Lebanon, necessitating a massive mobilization of 306,830 reservists to sustain simultaneous engagements. In the Gaza Strip, despite the ceasefire that took effect on October 10 of the previous year, the report records a total of 19,530 attacks for the year. According to local health authorities, the total death toll from Israeli fire since the conflict began in October 2023 stands at 71,269 people. The Israeli army confirmed attacking 1,500 sites in Iranian territory, resulting in the deaths of 11 nuclear scientists and 30 senior defense officials, including the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami. On the northern front, Israel conducted about 950 operations against Hezbollah targets in southern Lebanon and strategic positions in Syria, including the occupation of sectors on Mount Hermon. One of the most critical points of the year was the 12-day direct escalation against Iran in June. This annual report reflects a year of maximum regional tension, marked by the transition from proxy wars to direct state confrontations.
