Israeli Army Confirms Killing of New Head of Iran's Military Office

The Israeli Army confirmed this Sunday that it killed in a bombing yesterday, Saturday, the new head of the Military Office of Iran's supreme leader, who had held the position after his predecessor was assassinated on the first day of the war in another attack. Since then, its authorities have threatened to end the lives of his replacements. Last Tuesday, the armed forces also killed in a bombing in Tehran the commander for Lebanon of the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, who in turn was the replacement for the previous commander who died in another Israeli attack. Israeli and US attacks in Iran have claimed the lives of more than 1,300 people to date, while Iranian retaliation in Israeli territory has killed ten people in two separate attacks, although no lethal impacts have occurred in the country for a week. "Keep chasing them all," said Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz after receiving confirmation of the death of the Iranian official this morning from the armed forces. Israel claims it killed at least 40 high-ranking Iranian officials, including the supreme leader, Ali Khamenei, in the first bombing of the war on February 28. "Yesterday (Saturday), the Israeli Air Force, acting on precise intelligence from the Military Intelligence Directorate, eliminated Abu al-Qasem Babaiyan in Tehran," the armed forces announced, specifying that Babaiyan was the new director of the Supreme Leader's Military Office and the headquarters of Khatam al-Anbiya. As director of this military headquarters, Israel attributes to Babaiyan the coordination between different regime forces "to carry out operations and emergency activities." Babaiyan had only been in the position for a week, replacing Mohammad Shirazi, who was killed last Saturday in the first wave of Israeli and US attacks against the Islamic Republic.
