The Israeli Army intensified its attacks against positions of the Shiite militia Hezbollah in Lebanon in recent hours, within the framework of the growing escalation of a conflict that also involves Iran and the United States in the Middle East. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed they carried out bombings against military infrastructure and strategic positions of the armed group, including its headquarters in the Dahiye area, in the southern suburbs of Beirut, considered a key bastion of Hezbollah. Before the attacks, the Israeli Army had requested that residents evacuate their homes, an order of displacement that affects densely populated neighborhoods such as Haret Hreik, Chiyah, Hadath, and the Palestinian refugee camp of Bourj el Barajne, as well as the zones of Ghobeiry and Laylaki, according to the Argentine News Agency. According to Israeli authorities, the operation also included ground incursions in southern Lebanon, aimed at destroying installations used by Hezbollah fighters, the armed movement backed by Iran that decided to join the regional conflict. The bombings were not limited to the Lebanese capital. Attacks were also recorded in the south and east of the country in a military campaign that, according to various reports, has already left nearly 500 dead and more than 1,300 injured, in addition to displacing around 600,000 people.
