Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated on Saturday that Israel has completely thwarted Iran's nuclear ambitions, confirming the elimination of the country's uranium enrichment program. Netanyahu claimed that the Iranian system, under pressure from strikes, 'pleaded' to open negotiations and reach a ceasefire agreement, noting that Iran and its allies are 'fighting for survival.' Netanyahu explained that Tehran had reached very advanced stages, being on the verge of manufacturing nuclear weapons and producing an arsenal of hundreds of missiles. He stated that Israel implemented a multi-dimensional strategy that included targeting sensitive sites across Iran, as well as eliminating 12 Iranian nuclear scientists, which prevented Tehran from achieving its military and nuclear goals. Regarding Lebanon, the Israeli Prime Minister said that military operations had neutralized a significant portion of Hezbollah's capabilities, including the elimination of its leadership and the destruction of its infrastructure in the form of tunnel networks. He confirmed that Israel does not object to direct negotiations with the Lebanese state, but insists on the disarmament of Hezbollah and the achievement of sustainable peace as fundamental conditions for any future political settlement.
