The working commission on military control revealed facts of violations of the law on security in the armament area within the framework of the work of the Israeli army. According to the published report, instances of inappropriate handling of materials and violations of procedures for keeping important documents were identified.
The main violations identified by the commission include the failure to comply with the rules for maintaining confidentiality of information, insufficient delivery of reports on losses or portions of documents, as well as facts of access to secret data by unauthorized persons.
One of the officers who examined the situation noted: "These violations seriously undermine trust in the security system and may have negative consequences for the country's defense capability." An investigation of the incidents is currently underway to identify all those responsible and prevent similar cases in the future.
