Within the framework of the Union for the Mediterranean, uniting the member countries of the European Union, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Turkey, a call was made for a immediate cessation of hostilities in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon.
"We condemn the attack on the civilian population in Gaza and rocket strikes on Israeli territories. We also condemn the bombings in Lebanon, which have recently claimed numerous lives," they stated in the message.
The Union called on all parties to immediately cease military actions and transition to a negotiation process aimed at achieving a sustainable peace in the region.
