Israel Continues Military Action Against Hezbollah

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz stated today, Tuesday, that the country will continue to attack Hezbollah in Lebanon 'with all its might' and that a ceasefire is not being considered. In his words, Katz affirmed: 'There will be no ceasefire or truce in Lebanon.' He added that they will continue to hit Hezbollah with all their strength until the war objectives are achieved.

Israel will reject any ceasefire agreement that does not allow it to carry out attacks in Lebanon to prevent Hezbollah from rearming. The war objectives, according to Katz, include disarming Hezbollah, forcing them to retreat beyond the Litani River, and ensuring the safe return of northern residents to their homes.

Hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah began last October following a Hamas attack on Israeli communities. At the end of September, Israel intensified the conflict with a ground offensive in Lebanon, primarily aimed at the south of the country, the southern suburb of Beirut, and the Bekaa Valley.
