
Four people, including Thai workers, were among the seven victims who lost their lives on Thursday due to a series of rocket attacks from Lebanon towards Israel. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz expressed his condolences to Thailand and the families of the deceased, condemning the terrorist acts of Hezbollah-Iran which, according to him, affect Israelis and civilians worldwide.
The four Thai workers and an Israeli farmer died in an agricultural area in Metula, the northernmost city in Israel, following the rocket launches from Lebanon. Meanwhile, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, since the start of Hezbollah's attacks on October 8, 2023, more than 2,800 people have died and 13,000 have been injured.
Jens Laerke from the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported a wave of displacement that has occurred in recent days due to the ongoing attacks between both sides. This situation has caused tens of thousands of people to flee the area following warnings from the Israeli army about imminent new attacks.
Additionally, in Bekaa, Lebanon, eight people died from an airstrike that hit a house in Amhaz, and two other fatal victims were reported in Taraya. Moreover, three people lost their lives and five were injured in an attack on the outskirts of Qamatiyeh, southeast of Beirut, according to information from the Lebanese Ministry of Health. Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah weapon manufacturing sites, command centers, and other infrastructure in Lebanon have intensified in recent days.
In this context, Israel carried out bombings in the southern suburb of Beirut, Dahiyeh, destroying dozens of buildings in various neighborhoods, according to the Lebanese state news agency. These attacks occurred after a four-day pause in the area.
